About chair

Applied math chair was founded in 1996 after spllitting with Math chair. In the beginning it was the Phisics and Technology faculty subdivision. Lately it became the part of Information Technology faculty. In 1998 speciality "Applied math" with specialization "Mathematical modelling" was created. By this time there were nine graduations. Most of the students graduated with Excellent diplomas. Chair staff includes 9 Doctors of Physical and Mathematical sciences, professors, 7 Candidates of Physical and Mathematical sciences, assistant professors, head teachers and assistants. Doctor of Physical and Mathematical sciences, professor Uvarova Lyudmila Alexandrovna is the holder of chair. The lecturers of chair gives a course of lectures in branches of mathematics and programming like "Applied mathematics", "Discrete mathematics", "The theory of probability, mathematical statistics and stochastic process", "Equations of mathematical physics", "Mathematical logic and algorithm theory", "Program statistical complexes", "Parallel computing and transputer systems", "Computer architecture and system software", "Computer animation", "Mathematical modelling", "Open systems theory", "Stochastic analysis", "Difference equations" and others. Our publications of study guides for that courses: "Applied mathematics", "Discrete mathematics", "Distributed computing and networks", "Computing education technologies" and others.
